Seplat Energy receives NUPRC Confirmation of Consent on MPNU Deal

Seplat Energy Plc, a leading Nigerian energy company listed on both the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and the London Stock Exchange (LSE) announced that the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has confirmed the approval granted by the Honourable Minister of Petroleum Resources in Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, to proceed with the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPNU).
In a statement signed by the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Roger Brown, appreciated President Bola Tinubu for granting the necessary consent. Seplat Energy also acknowledged the support and diligence of various ministries and regulatory bodies involved in the transaction.
With the approval secured, the company will collaborate with all stakeholders to finalise the acquisition.
