Nestlé Nigeria has announced the appointment of Toritseju (Toju) Egbebi as its new Corporate Communications and Sustainability Manager, effective November 1, 2026.
Egbebi’s appointment follows the retirement of Victoria Uwadoka after ten years of distinguished service with the company.
A Wealth of Experience
Toritseju Egbebi, currently the Corporate Affairs Manager, brings 18 years of experience in public relations and corporate communications across the technology, financial services, and consumer goods sectors.
Since joining Nestlé Nigeria, she has played a key role in strengthening the company’s corporate reputation, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement. Through the Nestlé for Good platform, she has helped deepen visibility and understanding of Nestlé’s investments in healthier nutrition, thriving communities, and environmental sustainability, while strengthening strategic media and stakeholder partnerships.
Uwadoka’s Decade of Impact
During her decade with Nestlé Nigeria, Victoria Uwadoka played a central role in strengthening the company’s reputation, stakeholder relationships, and Creating Shared Value (CSV) agenda.
Her leadership advanced communications and sustainability priorities across nutrition, youth empowerment, agriculture, water stewardship, environmental responsibility, and community development. She also championed stronger employee engagement and helped translate complex corporate and sustainability priorities into clear, credible narratives that built understanding and trust.
Beyond Nestlé, Uwadoka has contributed significantly to the development of Nigeria’s communications profession through industry leadership, advocacy, and mentorship, championing strategic communications as a driver of business and societal progress.
CEO’s Vote of Confidence
Commenting on the transition, the Managing Director and CEO of Nestlé Nigeria, Wassim Elhusseini, expressed profound gratitude to the outgoing manager while expressing confidence in the incoming one.
“Victoria has made an important contribution to Nestlé Nigeria over the past decade, and we are deeply grateful for the leadership, professionalism, and commitment she has brought to our business and the communications profession. We wish her every success in this next chapter,” Elhusseini said.
“As Toju takes on this responsibility, I have every confidence in the experience, judgement, and energy she brings to the role. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement are fundamental to building trust and advancing our purpose, and I am confident she will continue strengthening these relationships while helping us demonstrate the positive impact of our business in Nigeria.”

What To Know About Nestlé Nigeria
Nestlé Nigeria is a leading food and beverage company committed to unlocking the power of food to enhance quality of life for everyone today and for future generations. With a wide range of products, including popular brands such as NESTLÉ PURELIFE, GOLDEN MORN, MILO, MAGGI, and NESCAFÉ, Nestlé Nigeria is dedicated to providing nutritious and delicious food and beverages to consumers.
Why It Matters
Corporate transitions at the executive level are often routine, but the handover of the communications and sustainability portfolio at a massive multinational like Nestlé Nigeria carries significant weight.
Victoria Uwadoka’s tenure coincided with a global shift in how corporations communicate. The “Creating Shared Value” agenda is no longer just a buzzword; it is a fundamental business strategy. Uwadoka’s ability to translate Nestlé’s complex agricultural, nutritional, and environmental initiatives into narratives that resonate with Nigerian stakeholders has left a formidable legacy.
Toritseju Egbebi steps into this role with a strong foundation. Her 18 years of cross-sectoral experience spanning tech, finance, and FMCG are highly relevant in an era where corporate reputation is increasingly shaped by digital media and data-driven stakeholder engagement. Her prior work on the “Nestlé for Good” platform indicates she already has a deep understanding of the company’s sustainability architecture.
For Nestlé, maintaining consumer trust in a challenging Nigerian economic environment is paramount. As the company navigates inflation, supply chain hurdles, and shifting consumer habits, the role of communications will be critical in ensuring the brand remains a trusted household name. Egbebi’s appointment signals continuity and a fresh perspective, ensuring that Nestlé’s voice remains both credible and impactful.
