Chieftaincy officers from Agbado/Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), led by Chieftaincy Officer Mr. Adejumo Muritala under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Prince Abiodun Ishola Jimoh Ejigbadero, on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the palace of High Chief Lukmon Sulaimon Oduntan Enimakure, Baale Ikola Odunsi as part of ongoing stakeholder engagement aimed at strengthening grassroots development initiatives.

The visit, which took place on March 16, 2026, was designed to reassure the Ikola Odunsi Kingdom of the council’s commitment to delivering social amenities and improving road infrastructure as promised during the last local government elections.

Hon. Ejigbadero, who assumed office in August 2025 following a landslide electoral victory, reaffirmed his administration’s focus on community-oriented development programmes and sustainable infrastructure projects.

During the engagement, High Chief Oduntan Enimakure pledged continued support for good governance and the promotion of peaceful coexistence within the Ikola Odunsi community. He noted that five polling booths have already been established in the area during his seven-year reign, while the construction of the Ikola Odunsi Town Hall, financed by the Adekola Family, is currently ongoing.

The Baale of Ikola Odunsi also appealed to the LCDA leadership to prioritise the construction of drainage systems and a bridge to address persistent flooding challenges during the rainy season.

He further expressed concerns over environmental sanitation, lamenting irregular waste collection by the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), which has led some residents to resort to dumping refuse in drainage channels.

In his remarks, High Chief Oduntan Enimakure appreciate the Chairman and offered prayers for a successful tenure for Hon. Ejigbadero and his team.

The delegation subsequently toured the palace premises, inspected the ongoing town hall project, and observed traditional activities such as shrine within the community.

The LCDA leadership structure also includes the Vice Chairman, Hon. Kehinde Shobayo, who supports the administration’s drive toward enhancing social services and improving living standards at the grassroots level.

The visit led by Chieftaincy Officer Mr. Adejumo Muritala, Mrs. Fajemilehin, Mr. Oluyomi, Mr. David, and Mrs. Kemi respectively underscores the council’s renewed commitment to inclusive governance, infrastructure renewal, and stronger collaboration with traditional institutions to accelerate development across communities in the LCDA.
