The former governor of Kano state Engr. Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso commiserate with the family, and Afenifere over the death of it’s spokesperson Yinka Odumakin.
Senator Kwankwaso stated this in Abuja through a statement issues to newsmen shortly after receiving the news of the demise of the activist.
Senator Kwankwaso who described Yinka Odumakin as a patriotic and dedicated Nigeria activist who contributed immensely to the enthronement of democratic rule in the country.
“He was one of those famous activist who confronted the military regime in the country at various point in our National history and got imprisoned.
“Also, the late Odumakin always stand for what is right for the country. In the course of all this, he never hide or pretend about his love for his Yoruba race and served as spokesman for the highest pan Yoruba political body, Afenifere. He will be greatly miss on a journey to a better Nigeria at a time he was needed most” Kwankwaso said.
He prays to God to repose the soul of the image maker of the Yoruba race, and comfort the family, friend and the entire Yoruba race.
