The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) is proud to announce that Nigeria has been re-elected to the Steering Committee of the well respected Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network).

This remarkable achievement, secured at the fifth plenary meeting in Beijing, China, positions Nigeria as the sole African representative on the committee, highlighting the nation’s unwavering commitment to combating corruption on both a national and global scale.

The GlobE Network, established in 2021, serves as a powerful platform for international cooperation in the fight against corruption, enabling law enforcement agencies worldwide to effectively detect, investigate, and prosecute cross-border corruption offenses.

Nigeria’s re-election to the Steering Committee, alongside global powerhouses such as China, Russia, Spain, Romania, and South Korea, is a testament to the nation’s unwavering dedication and significant contributions to the global anti-corruption agenda.

Led by the esteemed ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, Nigeria’s delegation passionately advocated for the country’s continued leadership role within the GlobE Network.

Dr. Aliyu’s compelling presentation showcased Nigeria’s proactive approach to combating corruption, highlighting the ICPC’s remarkable achievements and the nation’s active participation in regional and global anti-corruption initiatives.

His emphasis on Nigeria’s status as the most populous country in Africa and its commitment to spearheading unified asset recovery efforts echoed deeply with member countries.

This re-election is an emphatic endorsement of the tireless efforts of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in championing the anti-corruption agenda not only within Nigeria but also across West Africa and on the global stage.
