By Shola Shofolahan, Abeokuta

The Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN) Ogun state chapter under the leadership of Mr Tirimisiriyu Muraino has reiterated the commitments of members of the Association to peace, progress and development of Ogun state as its major priorities.

In a statement, the state chairman of TOAN, said, “Our Association is pleased with the current administration’s leadership style especially his developmental feats in agriculture, education, infrastructural renaissance, massive road constructions, youth programmes including health sector as health delivery is also part of his developmental programmes.

He, therefore, called on all members and good people of Ogun State to continue to pray for the success of the current administration under the leadership of Gov. Dapo Abiodun.

Speaking further, the chairman of TOAN also appealed to the Governor to recognize the Association as all necessary steps had been taken by all the members.

According to him, “We have been clamouring for full recognition of the Association for the past four years. We have paid all necessary dues to the government cover yet no response from the government; we have had series of meetings with government representatives.

In fact during the campaign we donated branded vehicles to support the campaign trains of the Governor with branded APC T-shirts to all our members as part of our commitments and contributions to the campaign trains of Gov, Abiodun.

We ensured our members voted massively for the current administration, yet all we heard was just promise”.

He appealed to the Governor to recognize all members of TOAN and fulfil promises made to Association, saying the TOAN is an affiliate of TUC.

Mr Muraino urged TOAN members to continue to remain law-abiding and drive carefully.
