Stanbic Women Initiative Held Maiden Edition Of LATTES To Empower Female Gender

Stanbic IBTC Plc, a financial services company in Nigeria offering banking products and services for the retail, corporate, investment, and wealth management sectors held its virtual maiden edition of Stanbic Women Initiative; Ladies at the Tables Empowerment Sessions (LATTES).

The Ladies At The Table Empowerment Series (LATTES) online event on BlueJeans App hosted 1 million participants across the country on Thursday, September 30, 2021.

Ladies At The Table Empowerment Series (LATTES) is to improve the distinct and intersectional needs of women diversity in the society as well as the norms and systems that hinder optimal outcomes while identifying and addressing restrictive female norms and inequalities help to foster the sustainability of results.

Women are harder hit by the economic impacts of COVID-19, as they disproportionately work in insecure labour markets. Nearly 60 percent of women work in the informal economy, which puts them at greater risk of falling into poverty. 

Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa in her welcome speech said LATTES is the initiative of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers to inspire and empower women talents. “So if you are looking to be inspired, empowered you are at the right place with Stanbic Women Initiative’s LATTES by Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers. She said “I am proud to host this event”

The Executive Director, Business Development of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, Nike Bajomo, while delivering her address stated that the series will be based around balancing career success, personal awareness, and wellness of women. As women, we must make sure we are on top of our game right in tools and our way to address this challenge women constantly face. At Stanbic IBTC women empowerment is a priority, we constantly create avenues to opportunities for every type of woman to thrive and to blossom.
