TRAIN ACCIDENT: RAILWAY POLICE COMMAND SWING TO NECESSARY ACTION …ONE DEAD, OTHERS INJURED …THREE VEHICLES WERE INVOLVED IN THE ACCIDENT, OFFICIALS DISCLOSED
One person has lost his life in the train accident that occurred on Monday morning at Oshodi, Lagos, while others sustained severe injuries about 07:45 hour.
There was an accident involving a moving train and two vehicles crossing the rail track at Arenal plaza, Oshodi. One Toyota Highlander with Reg. No FST 723 FL and Ford with Reg. No Lagos GGE 972 GE. Three (3) people sustained varying degrees of injury and have been taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatmen. The accidented vehicles were removed from the track for ease of passage of other trains.
The command spokesman, SP Muyiwa Adejobi (mnipr) disclosed this in a statement on Monday that the matter has been referred to the Railway Police Command for further investigation and necessary action.
