Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface, has reacted to rumours of him having an extra-marital affair.
In the past week, claims that the Tuface had impregnated a certain banker went viral. This came days after Idibia posted a public apology for being an embarrassment to his wife and family.
In the said statement shared via his Instagram page, Idibia wrote, “This is no stunt. I’m sorry for all the embarrassment I’ve caused my wife, my kids, my mother, and all our families and my management team. I’m not looking for no sympathy I’m not trying to make myself look good. This is no reverse psychology bullshit.
“I simply just don’t want to be the one that always apologise. I’ve been a sh*ty father and a sh*ty husband and sh*ty baby daddy. I have no excuses. I just want to do right by my wife, and my kids and their moms and my mom and all families and my manager and friends.”
Reacting to the rumours of his alleged affair which trailed the apology, the musician slammed peddlers of the rumour for speaking about things they had no idea about.
“Una too like ‘belle’ matter,” he wrote via his Instagram stories on Monday. “See person wey no even know who be their senator just dey insult wetin dem no even get any idea about. Una well done.
“Father forgive them for their brains have been fried.”
The singer’s management has also debunked the claims, stating that 2face’s apology was in no way connected to the rumour.
2Face’s manager, Efe Omorogbe, shared a release via his Instagram account on Saturday, where the rumour was tagged “false and malicious.”
The Gistmerchant wrote: Recent reports have alleged that popular singer, 2Baba Idibia, has gotten another lady, a banker, pregnant.
The story was shared by Instagram blogger, Gistmerchant who alleged that his recent activity is the reason behind his apology message to fans and family.
Recall, 2baba made headlines after sharing a public apology to his beloved wife, Annie Idibia, and his family for not being a good father.
Reports making rounds on social media claim that the singer’s apology was forced because another woman who is said to be a banker is pregnant with him.
The post read: “So 2face recent apology. Turns out he got another lady pregnant. A banker. I’m tired”.
