Dr Abiola Oshodi, a Nigerian Psychiatry medical practitioner base in Canada, founder of Dr. Abiola Oshodi Foundation that helps the less privileged to achieve their educational dreams, BATS-V Diaspora Secretary and BATS-V Regional Director in Canada have stated reason all Nigerians home and in diaspora need to support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for Presidency 2023.

He said “since independence of 1960 and after the initial six years of purposeful parliamentary government Nigeria had is own very difficult share of democracy”.

“Successive administrations have been encumbered by one form of turbulence or the other. The Nigeria leadership conundrum can be well conceptualized of these governments as captains of the football teams that were playing football and dribbling in the rugged ungraded football field littered with potholes”.

“Meanwhile, being able to score goals becomes difficult if not impossible even when the goalkeeper of the opposition tram has been successfully dribbled and in front of an empty net we have have failed to score year after year and administrations after administrations”.

“The reasons for our multiple failures are legion and for me the most important is the failure to use our God given talents which are Human Resources and our God given talents. Our natural gifts and abilities that are supposed to be used positively and for our benefits are serially abused and beclouded by negativities such as tribalism, ethnicity, nepotism, clannishness, corruption, criminalities and individual hatred”.

These are so endemic in Nigeria that even our past administrations struggled to check the menace, because they too were overwhelmed with our collective attitudes to embrace all that portends evil and doom doom doom mentality for our fatherland.

He further stated that “The scariest part is the irresistible temptations by some Nigerians to always benchmark with USA and other advanced nations in nearly everything. Don’t get we wrong, Nigeria shares common things with the USA such as in population, diversities, knowledge and human and natural resources, after all there aren’t over ten Nigerians in different capacities serving the Biden administration. But the major difference is that the USA for example uses our Nigeria human capacities positively at multiple levels while such Nigerians would most likely be frustrated if they didn’t relocate to the USA”.

However, the initiative by the South West Agenda (SWAGA 2023) and their sensitization campaign to our traditional rulers and on this occasion their historic visit to the paramount ruler of my town, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, Olowo of Owo Kingdom, the ancient town of Owo in Owo local government area of Ondo state must be commended and history will be kind to SWAGA, BATS-V (Bola Ahmed Tinubu Solidarity Vanguard) and other ProTinubu groups all over the nation and other parts of the world.

Dr. Abiola Oshodi concluded saying “It’s time to take the Tinubu presidential campaign to all our paramount traditional rulers in the southwest and other parts of the country, and tell our people that occupying Aso Rock in Abuja remains our goal and our focus and not war or secession”.

“Let’s join hands together to make Nigeria live up to the true meaning of its potentials and BAT is best positioned amongst his peers to take our fatherland to the promised land ahead of the 2023 election”.
