A revered Engineer and the APC House of Representatives Candidate for Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency, Engr. Tunji Akinosi FNSE, has lifted the spirits of Engineering students at Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa (OGITECH).
During the 5th Convocation Ceremony of OGITECH, Engr. Tunji Akinosi gave cash prizes to the 5 best Engineering students of the institution. This is the second consecutive year that he is extolling the virtue of excellence in academics by rewarding top graduating students.
Here are the five (5) merit beneficiaries of this award: Adebayo Adedolapo, the best student in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HND); Ezeka Ekenet, the best student in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (ND); Omolayo Ifedayo, the best student in Computer Engineering (HND); Ogundipe Joel, the best student in Computer Engineering (ND), and Adeyemi Godwin Senayon, the best student in Mechanical Engineering.
The initiative was described as the best of its kind by an individual in the history of the polytechnic.
Over the years, academic excellence in the institution has received little to no recognition. However, this move by Engr. Tunji Akinosi sets a much-needed antecedent that will boost the morale of students and encourage stellar academic performances in the future.
Once again, a hearty congratulations to the award beneficiaries. And to the hardworking students who still burn the midnight oil, this is a reminder to never relent. It is now obvious that we still have leaders who are committed to rewarding academic excellence.
