Hon. Sakiru Sulaimon Enimakure has formally declared his intention to contest for the Lagos State House of Assembly seat representing Agege Constituency II under the All Progressives Congress (APC), signaling the early stirrings of political realignments ahead of the next electoral cycle.
In his declaration, Enimakure paid glowing tribute to key party leaders, including Abiodun Faleke, Yinka Ogundimu, and Kayode Opeifa, acknowledging their leadership roles and enduring influence within the party’s Agege political structure.
Emphasizing the principle that “charity begins at home,” Enimakure noted that his ambition is rooted in grassroots familiarity and long-standing engagement within the constituency.
He stressed that his aspiration is not just personal but aligned with strengthening the party’s local dominance and legislative effectiveness.
The aspirant specifically called for robust “in-house” support from party stakeholders, signaling a strategy focused on consolidating internal consensus before broader campaign mobilization.
In a significant early endorsement, Leader ACM Hon. Gbenro Shobijo of the Justice Forum described Enimakure as a “true son of his father,” expressing confidence in his capacity to effectively represent Agege Constituency II under the APC platform.
The declaration event also drew the presence and backing of prominent traditional and community leaders, including Orile Agege Council of Traditional Chiefs, Leadership of Justice forum, Agege and Orile Local Government, Oje Parapo Orile Agege; High Chief Prince Gafaru Ajibola, Baale of New Oko-Oba and Olori Ebi of the Olarokun Family; the Baba Oja of Wazobia Market; and High Chief Lukmon Sulaimon Oduntan Enimakure (Adekola I), Baale of Ikola Odunsi Kingdom, Awori Land, Lagos State.
High Chief Oduntan Enimakure threw his weight firmly behind the aspirant, stating that this is the right time for the constituency to position a credible and capable candidate for the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The gathering further attracted several high-net-worth individuals and influential stakeholders, underscoring the growing momentum behind Enimakure’s ambition.
Political observers interpret the declaration and the convergence of party, traditional, and grassroots support as a calculated move to secure strategic endorsements within the APC hierarchy in Agege, where party structure and loyalty often play decisive roles in candidate emergence.
