Fidelity Bank Plc has announced its sponsorship of the 2026 Young Innovators Camp, a fully-funded educational initiative designed to bridge the skills gap in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) for the next generation.

The programme, organized by MONAT, is scheduled to commence on July 20, 2026. It aims to provide children aged 4 to 10 with a practical, hands-on curriculum that moves beyond theoretical knowledge to foster creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

According to a statement released by the bank, the camp will feature age-appropriate STEM modules, guided build sessions, and interactive group learning. Beyond the technical skills, the curriculum includes financial literacy exercises and confidence-building activities, ensuring a holistic approach to child development.

Dr. Meksley Nwagboh, Divisional Head of Brand and Communications at Fidelity Bank, emphasized that the initiative is a strategic investment in Nigeria’s long-term economic prosperity.

“The future belongs to those who can solve problems and harness technology to improve lives. We believe these abilities should be nurtured early,” Dr. Nwagboh stated. “Through this camp, we are demonstrating that education, particularly STEM education is a cornerstone of national development. Today’s young innovators are tomorrow’s engineers and entrepreneurs. This is about unlocking potential and inspiring the generation that will create the future.”

The sponsorship of the Young Innovators Camp is the latest addition to Fidelity Bank’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda, which prioritizes youth empowerment and skills development. It builds upon existing educational interventions, including the SWEETA initiative, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to improving long-term outcomes for individuals and communities.

In addition to the immersive learning experience, every participant will receive a curated gift pack containing educational resources and STEM materials. The kits are intended to encourage continued exploration and learning at home, extending the camp’s impact beyond the scheduled dates.

Interested parents and guardians are encouraged to register their children for a chance to participate in the programme. As the camp is entirely free, slots are expected to fill quickly. Participation in the Young Innovators Camp is free and interested parents and guardians are encouraged to sign up their wards aged 4-10 years old for a chance to join the programme by visiting https://monatng.com/event/young-innovators-camp/
