The Kebbi State Police Command has announced the deployment of enhanced security measures across Kebbi State as Muslims prepare to mark the end of Ramadan and celebrate Eid.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman Anisma, the Command assured residents that comprehensive arrangements have been put in place to ensure a safe, peaceful, and hitch-free festive period.

According to the statement, security personnel have been strategically positioned across key locations in the state, while routine patrols and other proactive operations have been intensified to prevent crime and maintain public order.

The Command also urged residents to remain law-abiding and vigilant throughout the celebrations, noting that community cooperation is vital in sustaining security. Motorists were specifically advised to avoid excessive speeding and other traffic violations commonly associated with festive periods.

Members of the public were further encouraged to promptly report any suspicious movements or emergencies to the police through the dedicated emergency lines: 09039911876 and 07081974395.

Reiterating the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring safety, the Command emphasized the need for citizens to speak up whenever they observe unusual activities, stressing that timely information can help security agencies respond effectively.

“Security is everyone’s responsibility. If you see something, say something,” the statement added.

The Police Command expressed optimism that with sustained vigilance and cooperation from residents, Eid celebrations across Kebbi State would remain peaceful and incident-free.
