Lebara Nigeria has declared that its entry into the Nigerian telecommunications space goes beyond competition, focusing instead on strengthening the country’s digital connectivity architecture and broadening international communication links for Nigerians both locally and in the diaspora.

Speaking on the company’s vision, Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Teniola Stuffman, noted that Lebara’s global presence places it in a strong position to bridge connectivity gaps across borders, linking Nigerians within the country to global markets where they live and work.
Lebara Nigeria, a subsidiary of a London-headquartered telecommunications group, reaffirmed this commitment during its soft launch and logo unveiling held in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The event attracted key stakeholders, including regulators, diplomats, industry leaders, and strategic partners, ahead of the company’s full commercial rollout.
The firm stated that it is entering the Nigerian market fully prepared, with the required infrastructure, regulatory approvals, and operational capacity to deliver innovative, digitally driven services nationwide. It added that affordability and customer-focused offerings will remain central to its operations.
Chief Operating Officer, Mrs. Mary Akin-Adesokan, described Nigeria’s inclusion in Lebara’s global network as a major strategic milestone.
She highlighted the company’s track record of delivering affordable and reliable mobile services across multiple continents and expressed optimism about replicating that success in Nigeria.

According to her, Lebara Nigeria is committed to providing customer-first solutions, including tailored bundle plans designed to suit varying lifestyles and budgets, while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Also speaking, Group Partnerships Director, Mr. Daniel Upson, emphasised the strong backing from the parent company, noting that decades of global experience and technical expertise will support the Nigerian operation and improve overall service quality.
British Deputy High Commissioner in Lagos, Mr. Jonny Baxter, described Lebara’s entry into Nigeria as a reflection of growing digital and economic collaboration between the United Kingdom and Nigeria.
In his remarks, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Lebara Nigeria, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, expressed confidence in the company’s prospects, stating that Lebara’s established reputation in the UK and Europe would be successfully replicated in Nigeria to benefit consumers.
With commercial operations set to commence soon and strategic partnerships already in place, Lebara Nigeria says it is positioning itself as a connectivity-driven brand focused on affordability, seamless global integration, and enhanced customer experience key elements expected to contribute to the growth of Nigeria’s digital ecosystem.
