Sanwo-Olu Celebrates Oba Saheed Elegushi at 50, Commends Leadership, Community Impact

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated the Elegushi of Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, on the occasion of his 50th birthday.
In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the governor described the monarch as a passionate and visionary leader whose reign has delivered peace, growth, and development to the Ikate-Elegushi domain.
Sanwo-Olu joined family members, traditional institutions, and residents of the state in celebrating the monarch’s golden jubilee, noting that Oba Elegushi has consistently demonstrated commitment to community service and the advancement of traditional leadership in Lagos.
“On behalf of my family, the government and the good people of Lagos State, I celebrate His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, on his 50th birthday,” the governor said.
He further praised the monarch for dedicating both his youthful and adult years to the service of his people, particularly in strengthening the traditional institution within Ikate-Elegushi and across Lagos State.
According to Sanwo-Olu, Oba Elegushi’s nearly two decades on the throne have been marked by visionary leadership and meaningful contributions to the socio-economic development of his kingdom.
The governor also offered prayers for the monarch, wishing him continued good health, wisdom, and longevity as he sustains a reign defined by peace, prosperity, and service to humanity.
