Tinubu To Return As APC Flags Off Presidential Election Campaign On October 10 2022

The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is returning to Nigeria any moment from now following the decision to flag off its 2023 presidential election campaign on Monday, October 10, 2022.

The decision to fix the flag off on October 10 follows the convening of a meeting of the APC Presidential Campaign Council on Tuesday.

The ruling All Progressives Congress APC would formally flag off its 2023 Presidential Election campaign on Monday, October 10, 2022.

The development comes as the party and its campaign council gear up to receive its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu back to the country.

Newsmen had exclusively reported on Tuesday that Tinubu who has been in London for some days is expected back to Nigeria within the week.

The members of the council were called to a meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday. The agenda of the meeting has not been divulged but sources say that it may pertain to the preparation for the campaign flag-off.

Party sources and officials including campaign officials were uncertain about the exact date that Tinubu would be returning to Nigeria.

He had left the country unceremoniously ahead of the aborted inauguration of the PCC earlier scheduled for last Wednesday on what aides said was a previously planned business meeting.

However, the absence of Tinubu from the country had lately spun rumours of his ill-health leading to the Sunday night eight-minute video of the APC presidential candidate in an exercise bicycle.

That video has been received with mixed feelings based on political inclinations with critics flaying the video and supporters putting the video as evidence of his ability to run Nigeria.

However, no one is certain on the exact date that Tinubu would be returning to Nigeria for the campaign flag-off.
