As part of activities marking Women’s Month, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc is set to host a special edition of its UBA Business Series in Lagos, bringing together leading African female entrepreneurs and professionals to discuss leadership, innovation and opportunities for women in today’s evolving business landscape.

Africa’s Global Bank, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, will host a special edition of its quarterly UBA Business Series dedicated to celebrating and empowering women across the continent.
The event, themed “Gen W – The Evolved Woman,” is scheduled to hold on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at UBA House in Lagos.
The session will convene accomplished female leaders and professionals who will share insights, experiences and practical strategies for navigating ambition, leadership and business growth in today’s rapidly changing environment.
In addition to physical attendance, the event will be streamed live across UBA’s digital platforms, allowing participants to join virtually. Interested participants can register to attend either in person or online through on.ubagroup.com/tfig.
According to the bank, this edition of the Business Series is designed to advance conversations around women’s leadership by highlighting a new generation of women who are not merely seeking opportunities but are confidently creating them. Discussions will explore how women are shaping industries, building businesses and redefining success on their own terms.
The event will feature an inspiring lineup of speakers including Joycee Awosika, entrepreneur and founder of ORÍKÌ Group; Tomike Adeoye, media personality and entrepreneur; Olufunke Davies, entrepreneur and founder of Fine Funky; and Ayo Mario-Ese, award-winning broadcaster.
The panel discussion will be moderated by media personality and actor, Tobi Bakre.
During the session, the panelists will share personal experiences on navigating professional spaces, building resilient businesses, embracing authenticity and redefining leadership as women in an evolving global landscape.
Speaking ahead of the event, UBA’s Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Alero Ladipo, said the special edition reflects the bank’s strong commitment to supporting women and recognising their crucial role in driving economic growth and innovation across Africa.
