Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Idrisu Dabban Dauda

The Zone 16 Command of the Nigerian Police comprising of Bayelsa and Rivers States has gotten a new zonal commander.

He is Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Idrisu Dabban Dauda who has taken over duties from AIG Ben Okolo, fdc, who has been redeployed to Force Headquarters, Abuja.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Yenagoa by the Zone 16 Public Relations Officer, Ikwo Kelvin, AIG Idrisu Dauda, was commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police in 1990. He holds a Masters Degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice, from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

According to the statement the AIG who hails from Niger State, is a distinguished Fellow of the Prestigious Defence College and a Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management who has served meritoriously in different capacities at various Commands and Formations across the country including Commissioner of Police, Katsina, and Kogi state Commands, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Finance and Administration, Nigeria Police Staff College, Jos, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, Enugu State. He was also a member and Liaison officer, Federal Government Staff Housing Loan Board, amongst others.

Until his current posting to the Zonal hqtrs, he was the AIG, Department of ICT, Force Headquarters, Abuja. The Zonal Command Headquarters solicits the support and cooperation of all and sundry within the two states for a robust working relationship with the new Zonal Commander.
