Nigeria’s BUA Group is currently building a huge detergent factory in Alaro City, in Lekki Free Trade Zone, Lagos. Under the brand STARIUM by Bua Group. The current leading detergent players in Nigeria are the foreign multinationals Unilever (OMO, Sunlight) & P&G (Ariel).
Starium, a subsidiary of BUA Group, is nearing the completion of its detergent factory, and Ariel Foods FZE, has built and completed the biggest Ready-To-Use Therapeutic Foods (RUTF) production facility in Africa, with an annual capacity of 18,000 metric tonnes. The factory is also the most advanced RUTF facility in the world.
