… Bank raises total reward pool to ₦189 million as campaign aligns with national financial inclusion drive and World Savings Day 2025
By Rashidat Olushola Okunlade
In a decisive move to strengthen financial inclusion and reward customer loyalty, Fidelity Bank Plc has announced a three-month extension of its flagship savings initiative, the Get Alert in Millions (GAIM) Season 6 Promo.
The extension raises the total prize pool from ₦159 million to a record ₦189 million, signaling the bank’s renewed commitment to empowering Nigerians through inclusive and innovative banking solutions.
This announcement, made in September 2025, comes at a pivotal moment for Nigeria’s evolving financial ecosystem, as policymakers and industry leaders push for greater participation in formal banking and sustainable economic growth.
Driving Financial Inclusion Amid Economic Reforms
Nigeria’s economy, though resilient, continues to navigate inflationary pressures, exchange rate adjustments, and limited access to credit among low-income groups. Recent Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) reforms—particularly in exchange rate unification and bank recapitalization—aim to create a stronger banking environment capable of supporting the Federal Government’s ambition for a $1 trillion economy.
Against this backdrop, Fidelity Bank’s GAIM 6 extension stands out as a strategic initiative that transcends traditional marketing. By encouraging savings among individuals and small businesses, it directly supports the CBN’s Payment System Vision 2028, which emphasizes digital transformation, financial literacy, and inclusion as key growth enablers.

World Savings Day 2025: A Global Moment for Smart Financial Habits
The promo’s extension coincides with the observance of World Savings Day 2025 (October 31), themed “This is Not a Savings Account”, which highlights the importance of developing disciplined saving habits in an era of economic uncertainty.
Speaking to journalists, Mr. Osita Ede, Divisional Head, Product Development at Fidelity Bank, emphasized that the decision to extend GAIM 6 was driven by customer feedback and strong demand.
“They asked for more opportunities to benefit from the promo, and we listened,” Ede said. “With management and regulatory consent, we’re thrilled to keep the excitement going for another three months.”
What Makes GAIM 6 Stand Out
While several Nigerian banks run similar savings promotions, Fidelity Bank’s GAIM 6 sets itself apart through its inclusivity, transparency, and reach. The campaign targets a wide range of customers—women, students, NYSC corps members, children, and market clusters—with electronic draws monitored by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) to ensure fairness.
Participation begins with deposits as low as ₦2,000, democratizing access and encouraging savings among lower-income earners. Fidelity Bank also integrates financial advisory services through its SME Hub, helping winners and participants make informed financial and business decisions.
How It Works: Save, Earn, and Win Millions
Participation in GAIM 6 is simple. Customers can open or fund their Fidelity Savings Account through the bank’s mobile app, website, USSD (77001#), or any branch. Every ₦5,000 deposit earns an entry into the monthly and grand draws, where prizes include ₦2 million, ₦5 million, and a grand prize of ₦10 million.
Monthly draws are scheduled to coincide with national holidays and celebrations such as Workers’ Day, Children’s Day, and Independence Day, supported by campus activations and market outreach programs that boost community engagement and financial education.
A Millionaire Christmas Ahead
With over ₦47 million still to be won—₦30 million in monthly draws and ₦17 million in the grand finale—Fidelity Bank is poised to create a new wave of millionaires just in time for the 2025 festive season. In recent draws, 20 customers became instant millionaires, winning ₦1 million each.
“A million Naira can be a turning point,” Ede noted. “We celebrate our winners and encourage them to use their rewards wisely for business and personal growth.”
The bank’s financial advisory desk and SME Hub remain available to guide winners on investment options that ensure long-term value creation.
A Strategic Win for Fidelity Bank and Nigeria
Beyond customer excitement, the extension of GAIM 6 underscores Fidelity Bank’s strategic alignment with Nigeria’s broader economic vision—a financially empowered, digitally connected, and inclusive society.
As the campaign enters its final months, millions of Nigerians have another opportunity to cultivate savings habits, strengthen their financial standing, and possibly join the growing list of Fidelity millionaires.
