LAPO Microfinance Bank has won the “Most Oustanding Microfinance Bank” award at the National Association of Microfinance Banks (NAMB) South-South Zonal Conference held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State recently.
The award poses a validation of LAPO’s immense contribution to financial inclusion through the consistent delivery of innovative financial products and services to the last man in the last mile across Nigeria.
Microfinance stakeholders converged to chart a new course to help navigate the ever-dynamic microfinance operating landscape. Dr Godwin Ehigiamusoe, FCIB, Founder, LAPO, a foremost Microfinance practitioner proffered practical insights to dealing with the complexities as well as Taiwo Joda, MD, Accion Microfinance Bank, respectively.
The recognition was also for its contribution to the growth of the national economy and social and economic empowerment of members of low-income households and owners of micro small and medium enterprises in Nigeria
LAPO MfB restated its commitment to its over 30 years mandate of social and economic empowerment of members of low-income households and micro, small, and medium enterprises in Nigeria.
Mr. Oluremi Akande, Director of Marketing and Communications at LAPO MFB, said “Collectively, we are optimistic to evolve a more resilient and sustainable Microfinance sub-sector in Nigeria.”
