NESCAFÉ Expands On-the-Go Access with New Kiosk at Ojo Bus Terminal, Ibadan

By Rashidat Olushola Okunlade

NESCAFÉ has strengthened its footprint in Nigeria’s everyday consumer spaces with the launch of a new kiosk at Ojo Bus Terminal in Ibadan, Oyo State, aimed at bringing convenient, quality coffee closer to commuters, drivers, and traders.

Set against the early morning bustle of the terminal where journeys begin before sunrise and commercial activity gathers pace, the initiative reflects NESCAFÉ’s commitment to supporting Nigerians as they start and navigate their day.

As one of the country’s leading coffee brands, NESCAFÉ is positioning itself within high-traffic environments such as bus parks, markets, and commercial hubs, aligning with the fast-paced routines of its consumers.

Adisa Olumide, Manager of the Ojo Bus Terminal, noted that the presence of the kiosk has enhanced commuter experience within the facility. He stated that passengers can now conveniently access quality coffee without leaving the terminal, adding that customer feedback has been largely positive, particularly regarding product taste and service efficiency.

Speaking on the initiative, Ibraheem Awelenje, Channels Manager at Nestlé Professional, said the rollout underscores the company’s dedication to delivering accessible beverage solutions across various consumer touchpoints. According to him, NESCAFÉ remains focused on enabling strong daily starts for Nigerians, even while on the move.

Currently, the kiosk offers NESCAFÉ 3-in-1 Original and NESCAFÉ Classic, with plans underway to expand its product range to include MILO, thereby catering to a broader customer base. Operations at the outlet adhere strictly to Nestlé Professional’s food safety and hygiene standards.

Jean-Pierre Duplan, Category Manager for Coffee, described the launch as part of NESCAFÉ’s broader strategy to deepen its presence in high-traffic locations and remain relevant to consumers with busy lifestyles.

In addition to improving accessibility, the kiosk also supports entrepreneurship through Nestlé’s My Own Business (MYOWBU) scheme. The outlet is managed by a local entrepreneur who transitioned from over a decade of service as an attendant to business ownership. The initiative has also created two direct employment opportunities, with ongoing training in business management and hygiene practices.

The operator described the opportunity as a significant milestone, noting that the kiosk represents both a personal achievement and a new phase of growth.

Sustainability remains a key component of the operation, with the use of recyclable cups and adherence to responsible waste management practices, including customer awareness on proper disposal.

Through this initiative, NESCAFÉ continues to embed itself in the rhythm of daily life, providing accessible refreshment while supporting enterprise development and sustainable practices across Nigeria.
