Polaris Bank has inducted 58 new employees into its workforce following their successful completion of its flagship training programmes, the Polaris Graduate Intensive Training (PGIT) and Polaris Tech Ignite Programme (PTIP).
The induction ceremony, held in Lagos, marked the culmination of a rigorous selection and training process that saw the candidates emerge from a pool of over 10,000 applicants, underscoring the bank’s focus on attracting and developing top-tier talent for the financial services industry.
Addressing the new hires, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Kayode Lawal, charged them to prioritise continuous learning and adaptability in an increasingly technology-driven global economy.
He noted that rapid advancements in digital technology, including artificial intelligence, have significantly transformed the banking landscape, making it imperative for professionals to consistently upgrade their skills to remain relevant.
According to him, beyond technical competence, integrity remains the foundation of a successful career in banking. He emphasised that trust and reputation are critical assets in the financial sector, urging the new employees to uphold the highest ethical standards in their professional conduct.
Lawal also encouraged the graduates to cultivate disciplined financial habits, humility, and a sense of gratitude, stressing that long-term success is defined not only by career achievements but also by strong personal values and continuous self-development.
He further urged the new employees to approach their roles with a sense of purpose and responsibility, noting that their contributions would play a significant role in driving the bank’s growth and supporting the broader financial ecosystem.
The PGIT and PTIP programmes are designed to provide intensive training in banking operations and technology, equipping participants with the skills required to excel in a dynamic industry. Graduates of the programmes are deployed across key areas of the bank’s operations, contributing to its strategic focus on retail growth, digital transformation, and enhanced customer experience.
Polaris Bank said it remains committed to nurturing young Nigerian talent and creating opportunities for career development, as part of its broader objective of promoting innovation, excellence, and sustainable growth within the sector.
