Taiwo Adeshina Joda, Managing Director and CEO of Accion Microfinance Bank has been conferred with CIBN Fellowship award, which is the highest cadre of membership the Institute bestow upon a deserving banker over the weekend.
The fellowship investiture held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in Lagos.
The award was conferred on him alongside 14 other Managing Directors, CEO of banks.
This is in recognition of the Taiwo Joda’s excellence in professionalism and expertise which has contributed to the Corporation’s achievements in protecting depositors and financial system stability.
Taiwo A. Joda, has an impressive background that makes him a strong candidate for the CIBN Fellowship Awards. With over 25 years of experience in banking and non-banking financial institutions, Joda has developed expertise in corporate finance, corporate banking, branch banking, retail banking, and key customer management.
As the MD/CEO of Accion MfB, Joda has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, guiding the bank’s growth and transformation. His achievements have earned him appointments to critical and strategic committees, as well as several awards in his previous roles.
Joda receiving the CIBN Fellowship Awards, his profile and accomplishments showcased he’s well-deserving of such recognition. The CIBN Fellowship Awards honor outstanding professionals who have made significant contributions to the banking industry.
Mr. Taiwo Adesina Joda is the Managing Director/CEO of Accion MfB. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Lagos and a Masters degree in Finance and Banking from the same university. He is an Alumnus of Said Business School â?? Oxford University
Mr. Joda is a senior member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (HCIB) and a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM) He has attended several top management programs both locally and internationally including â?? Lagos Business School, Nigeria, INSEAD, France and Euro money both in UK and Singapore.
Mr. Joda has over (25) twenty-five years’ experience in Bank and Non- Bank Financial Institutions spread over (5) five institutions with core competences in corporate finance, corporate banking, branch banking, retail banking and key customer management.
Institutions he worked prior to joining Accion MfB include: Arbitrage Finance and Investment Company LTD, Kenneth Michael & company Nig. LTD, FSB International, International Trust Bank, Equatorial Trust Bank, Diamond Bank and Fidelity Bank plc.
His remarkable performance on the job earned him appointments into critical and strategic committees and several awards in the institutions he had previously worked. He has excellent leadership skills and continually mentors young professionals. Mr. Joda was appointed the MD/CEO of Accion MfB on August 1st 2017 but assumed full responsibility as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer on January 2nd 2018.
