Zenith Bank To Host 2026 International Women’s Day Seminar, Promotes Women’s Leadership and Inclusive Growth

Zenith Bank Plc has announced plans to commemorate the 2026 International Women’s Day with a renewed emphasis on purposeful leadership, ownership, and collective advancement.
As part of activities marking the global celebration, the Bank will host its annual International Women’s Day (IWD) Seminar on Monday, March 9, 2026, at The Civic Centre, Lagos.
Aligned with the global theme, “Give to Gain,” which highlights the importance of intentional investment in women for sustainable progress, the Bank has adopted the seminar theme, “Take It, You Own It.” The theme underscores Zenith Bank’s position that while institutions must provide enabling environments and equitable systems, women must also take initiative, assert their value, and lead with confidence.
The 2026 edition builds on the success of previous seminars, including the 2025 programme themed “Winning On All Fronts.” Over the years, Zenith Bank’s IWD initiatives have served as a platform for women leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and emerging talents to engage in meaningful dialogue, share experiences, and promote gender equity and inclusive opportunities.
This year’s seminar is designed as more than a commemorative event, bringing together influential women and progressive leaders from business, governance, technology, creative industries, and social impact sectors to drive conversations around empowerment and sustainable development.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Group Managing Director/CEO, Dame Dr. Adaora Umeoji, OON, noted that International Women’s Day serves as a call to intentional action.
According to her, “International Women’s Day reminds us that progress requires deliberate effort. While ‘Give to Gain’ highlights the responsibility of institutions to create real opportunities, our theme ‘Take It, You Own It’ challenges women to step forward boldly and lead. The seminar will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, interactive Q&A sessions, and creative segments focused on leadership, professional development, wellbeing, and collaboration. Participants will also gain practical insights and strategies aimed at advancing gender equity and personal growth.
