Nigerians have expressed their grief over the hike in the price of a bag of cement as it costs over N6000.
Reports gathered by ROTA Media on all social media platforms reveal that a bag of cement now sells at the minimum price of N6000 and more in different states in Nigeria.
Nigerians who engaged the report on all social media platforms revealed how much a bag of cement costs at their various locales.
About the same time BUA announced its price slash, the Cement Producers Association of Nigeria (CEPAN) also assured the federal government and Nigerians of its members’ eagerness to support the federal government’s infrastructure drive to reduce the price of cement and ensure its price stability if the federal government will only revisit the backward integration policy of the late President Umar Yar Adua on cement.
Fast forward to February 2024, Nigerians are still lamenting over the unstable and astronomical rise in the price of cement nationwide, regardless of the brand.
Well, every day for the thief but surely one day would certainly be for the owner
